Emma Carrick-Anderson Falke clothing

Falke provide us with our first layer clothing. It's a harsh environment in the mountains. You want to remain warm, not overheat and be free to move. Falke's clothing is ergonomically designed. That means it's designed to follow the shape of the body.

What's under the suit?

In our profession we constantly have to perform to our optimum level. With 10 different Snoworks courses plus our Professional programme, we have to be free to move whilst remaining warm. It's no good sticking 10 layers on and feeling like a 'Michelin Man'.

Unfortunately we can't bring you any photos of us wearing the first layer (although Phil and Lee were keen to model their first layer we persuaded them otherwise!) - better to leave it to Falke to show you that. You'll see what we mean when you log onto the Falke website.

What's under the Ergonomic base layer?

This part is more for the ladies (although some men may be interested too and there are fabulous men's versions) as we move onto the most important section - THE UNDERWEAR! Oh boy, do Falke make great underwear! Seamless and incredibly comfy. The bras are fabulous and Emma went for the underwired version which really cut out any bounce and she teamed it up with one of the ergonomic sports tops for running. Down below Emma opted for the full briefs to keep everything warm in winter but now it's summer she's going for the skimpier string version. This is sports underwear at its best - no frills just pure comfort and great colours to chose from!

Feel With Your Feet

At Snoworks, our whole philosophy is based on what you do with your skis. We treat our skis like an extension of our feet. To get that kind of feel the contact between your feet, boots and skis is of paramount importance. It's no good getting a boot too big then packing the space out with huge furry 20 year old hiking socks. A tight boot when not clipped up too tight is essential with thin to moderate thickness socks. The material of the socks is essential in order not to cause any rubbing.
