bumps, all play
Want to conquer the beast of the piste then look no further. Snoworks has taken the art of Bumps skiing and broken it down into a simple set of skills that anyone can master.
So, what's the difference between Snoworks bumps skiing and conventional wisdom?
Firstly, we do not teach a 'Bump Technique', we develop the skills which will allow you to ski bumps, a key difference, cause and effect, don't learn the result, learn what makes up the result.
We then take the three skills introduced on the All Terrain page and specialise in one of them more than the other two. No prizes for guessing which one - to begin with skiing bumps is all about twisting. Once you can isolate the 'twisting skill' we can then practice developing the ability to vary both the speed and the amount. The only difference between skiing bumps which are far apart and bumps which are closer together is the ability to twist the skis quicker, simple.
The second skill you will need to learn and master is controlling speed. How many times do you jump into a car not knowing how to use the brakes? That's what 90% of skiers do on their skis and wonder why they lose control in bumps. Snoworks have taken speed control and simplified it to the extreme. Armed with the ability to twist your skis, vary the twisting and control your speed with pinpoint accuracy you will now have the ability to descend any mogul field with confidence.

To find out more about the 'twisting skill' and 'controlling speed' order the 'Snoworks Ultimate All Terrain and Ultimate Control' dvd's.
Of course it's not possible to become the complete rubber legged mogul expert in one week but you will have the knowledge and skills to tackle any mogul field with confidence. There are also other skills you will need to learn as you progress; absorbing bumps as you increase speed and varying the twisting and speed control in awkward shaped bumps. However you will now have the knowledge and basic skills to progress and from there it's practice, practice, practice.

Snoworks have turned something hitherto complex and unfathomable into an incredibly simple set of concepts that I could actually grasp!

I’m a hideously-inexperienced but fast-learning intermediate. I had never skied bumps before, but now look almost competent.
