What is Snoworks i-Skiing?

In the late 80's Phil Smith, Snoworks Director, was a member of a group of ski instructors asked by the British Association of Snowsport Instructors to completely revamp their existing technical and teaching syllabus. What resulted was the most sophisticated ski teaching system in the world. A system that does not teach skiers to ski a 'particular way', but instead teaches skiers the 'skills' of skiing.

In the 90's ski equipment went through radical changes. Skis became shorter, wider with big sidecuts. Skiers began to feel the need to move further away from the groomed runs and experience what had only previously been reserved for the professionals. 'All Mountain Skiing'.

Phil and his team have taken the 'Skills' of skiing and the concepts of 'All Mountain Skiing' to a completely new level and called it 'i-Skiing' or 'instructional skiing'.

With Snoworks i-Skiing, we're not worried about 'how you look' and we don't teach you to ski a particular 'way'. With snoworks you learn the 'skills' of skiing, how to adjust them and how to apply them to the varying conditions. To say you'll be amazed at your improvement is an understatement!

i-Skiing - for cautious intermediates

You don't have to be an expert to ski with snoworks - although it's easier to become one. As long as you can ski Blues and easy Reds then Snoworks Easy Terrain is the gateway into the Snoworks programme.

i-Skiing - for adventurous intermediates

If you can ski Reds and easy Blacks then almost the whole Snoworks i-Skiing Programme is open to you including Backcountry and Adventure. You can take your skiing into a new dimension. Learn how to tackle bumps, head off-piste, cope with steeper terrain and manage all those awkward conditions like ice and slush.

i-Skiing - for advanced and experts

Improvement never stops with Snoworks. With sometimes as many as 6 different groups of varying levels there's a group for everyone. Advanced and experts can learn to venture further off-piste, on to even steeper terrain, learn to tackle the most demanding of mogul fields and master all types of snow conditions. All Terrain does it all or if you fancy specialising then try Bumps, Off-Piste, Race, Backcountry, Technical or Adventure.

i-Skiing - for singles, couples, groups

With Snoworks you no longer have to worry about coming skiing by yourself or if your partner is a different level. There are always other skiers to ski with of a similar standard, all sharing the Snoworks i-Skiing experience.
