Heliskiing in Lapland 2008
March 29th - April 5th
Our spring heliskiing extravaganza starts on 29th March. This is the land of the midnight sun. Based in Riksgransen in Sweden this is our gateway into some great heliskiing.
You don't have to spend a fortune stuck in a lodge in Alaska hoping for the right weather. Riksgransen offers an immense area of heliskiing with over 40 different routes with drops of up to 900 metres.

Heliskiing opens up a whole new world of adventure. Riksgransen.
Unlike most European heliskiing which includes just one drop at the top of the mountain. We'll have 5 drops per day or more getting in some great skiing.
We've included 3 days of heliskiing, 5 drops per day, and if the weather permits extra heliskiing can be booked and paid for locally.
If you've never heliskied before, get ready for an adventure. Imagine standing at the bottom of the mountain and 5 minutes later you're at the top with untracked, virgin snow all around and magnificent views across the tops of all the mountains. Looking down below you can see acres of snow waiting for you and no one else other then you and your group. Set off and have the run of your lifetime. Wow! Then at the bottom get picked up and do it all over again, 5 times or more a day. You'll never want to catch another ski lift in your life. This is the way to ski, untracked, virgin snow every run with not a sole in sight.

and... if we can't heleski due to the weather then unlike most heliski operations we wont be stuck in a lodge waiting for it to clear.
Riksgransen, although only a very small resort has a few lifts accessing some great terrain. You can hike to the top of their 'Extreme Zone'. A quick 30 - 45 minutes and into some steep skiing.
Also included is full off-piste performance training with our own Snoworks instructor and host. Depending on numbers he may have to swich between groups on the heliski drops. Video sessions included every evening.
This is a fantastic way to finish of the season and a fraction of the prices of Heliskiing in Alaska.

Accommodation
The hotel has everything you need. Riksgransen is purpose built. There's no village. This place was built for purely skiing and the Scandinavians love it. Everyone looks like they're wearing a snowboard on each foot. The Scandi's are into 'free ride' big time.
The hotel is not luxurious but has great facilities and a great atmosphere. The restaurant is excellent and after skiing you can relax in the pool, head for the outdoor hot tubs, have a sauna or you can join Phil in the gym and have a workout! and if it's nightlife you want then the music continues until the early hours of the morning.
