Want to learn to ski off-piste or take your existing off-piste skiing to a new level then this is the course. Snoworks have redefined the art of teaching off-piste skiing.
Richard Mansfield, Training Officer for the British Mountain Guides and full time mountain guide in Chamonix was so impressed he commissioned Snoworks to run training purely for mountain guides to be exposed to the Snoworks philosophy.
Why is
Snoworks so different in their approach to off-piste skiing?
The biggest difference with Snoworks is that we do not advocate learning an off-piste technique. Off-piste skiing is an 'Open Sport' not a 'Closed Sport'. The environment is constantly changing, like sailing, surfing or even driving a car. The environment is not the same like weight lifting, javelin throwing or hurdles. When a sport takes place in a closed environment the technique remains similar all the time. When a sport takes place in an open environment your technique has to change constantly.
  
Hence on a Snoworks off-piste course you will develop the 'skills of skiing' and how to apply and vary them for the off-piste. It's so simple it will be like a light bulb going on! The skills of skiing were briefly described on the All Terrain page.

There are also other things to learn on the off-piste course such as; understanding ski equipment, how it's designed and how to select the right skis see equipment, off-piste safety and using transceivers. It's not possible to become a completely skilled powderhound in one week, however you will learn the skills, how to vary and apply them and from there on it's practice, practice, practice.
Instructor or Guide?
Say goodbye to deciding whether to employ an instructor or a guide. With i-Skiing we take care of both. Not only do you learn the skills for off-piste, we also search out the best slopes with the added advantage of knowing exactly your ability level so can select the best and most appropriate slopes ensuring success is combined with challenge.
Levels
Off-Piste Courses are for Level 4 upwards see levels. We have between 4 to 6 groups running so there is plenty of scope to cater for all levels. Level 4 means you may have no prior off-piste experience, it's your first adventure away from the piste, 5 you can ski most places off piste and 6 you can ski everywhere fast.
