Tignes, Ski Instructor Gap Course
The Snoworks ‘GAP’ course of 2008 was very probably the most challenging, enjoyable and rewarding adventure of my 37 years on this planet. My sincerest thanks go to Phil, Emma and Lee for such a fantastic course.

When you have been skiing and teaching for 25 years including racing it can be easy to have "sub optimal methods" grooved in to your technique so deeply that you consistently rely on them. The list of people that you will listen to and also have the capability to "unpick the knot" of technique is pretty short. The team at Snoworks have twice managed to help me make big
improvements in technique and consistency. Their technical understanding and teaching methods, driven by their passion, make the experience so worthwhile its fantastic. Its advanced my skiing and understanding to the next level. I'm setting goals now that would not be achievable without their help. Looking forward to this November!

the most amazing experience, one I'll never forget and have met some amazing people. Even though I'm not strictly teaching, I've had some amazing experience with the ESF instructors already and am really enjoying the job. My season had already surpassed my expectations before I started the job so anything on top of that is now a bonus!! I am so grateful for all of the trainers who gave up all of their time for us and pushed us (even if we
begrudged it a bit at the time) and yes that even includes fitness
training. It was all an incredible experience.

The Snoworks Gap course is brilliant! The training you receive is absolutely superb, working in small groups and almost getting one-to-one tuition with personal feedback certainly aids you in developing your skiing and in becoming a BASI Ski Instructor.
The staff at Snoworks are awesome, they are all very passionate and eager to teach and for you to succeed-by the end of the course it was if we were skiing with our friend rather than our trainer!
The accommodation you stay in is great too, the majority of your time will be spent in a Mark Warner hotel in Tignes, which is just amazing, it was so nice to think that after a hard day on the slopes you had a lovely room and exquisite food to return to. The other accommodation such as in Zermatt and Courchevel (when you do your BASI 1 and 2), are also good but Mark Warner was by far our favorite.
Throughout the time we were on the Snoworks Gap course, managers and reps from various ski schools from across the Alps would come and chat with us and possibly offer us part-time work for the season, which was very helpful and encouraging for us to achieve out BASI Level 2.
In all the Snoworks Gap course is truly fantastic and I have already interested a few friends. The fact that you have a qualification as a Ski Instructor before the season even begins puts this company above the rest, and I would have no reservations in recommending Snoworks to anyone.

Taking part in the Snoworks Gap Course was the best decision of my gap year. Not only did I have an amazing time training in Tignes but it allowed me to qualify early and spend the rest of the season taking full advantage of the snow. The training was exceptional, made that way by the trainers! The accommodation was surprisingly good, and the afternoon tea was more than welcome after a full day on snow followed by rigorous exercise with Phil, Emma and Lee! Thanks to Phil's insider knowledge I found an amazing job before I had even qualified! All in all, 8 weeks that I would thoroughly recommend!

BASI ski instructor level 2 with over 300 hours experience instructing in Verbier after doing the Snoworks gap course in the pre-season. I started out on the course with only 5 weeks training, half the expected amount and with the excellent training of the staff of the Snoworks instructors they brought me to the level for passing my level 1 BASI instructors course and then level 2. Without that training I never would have made to the level of skiing I have today. The fact that the training was before the season started was fantastic so I was able to head straight into skiing after the course was done. Accommodation during the course was done by Mark Warner and served fantastic food and the rooms were great.

Phil's ability to find the root cause of any inconsistency and come up with workable practice modules is excellent. His extremely enthusiastic style of teaching seems to have gone out of vogue in current times but after a few days with Phil and his team you'll have to ask yourself why doesn't everyone teach like this.
