2020/21 SEASON – YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

We have an amazing winter planned for this coming season kicking off on October 19 in Tignes and Stelvio and November 2 in Cervinia. We have courses planned all the way through the autumn and the whole winter culminating in our end of season bonanza in Hintertux in May.

Of course nobody can tell 100% what will happen this coming season and that’s why we are 100% ready and 100% prepared as per normal with the most amazing ski course programme lined up. We’ve only just recently finished our summer season and it was one of the best ever with exceptional snow conditions.  Six weeks on the Tignes glacier along with ski courses in Stelvio, Hintertux, and our slalom extravaganza at the end of August indoors at Landgraaf.  How did it all work?  Everyone took individual responsibility, ski resorts followed government guidelines, everyone worked together and the skiing was awesome.

We are now looking forward to getting the skis back on for the start of the autumn programme and as always our goal is to offer the best on-snow service possible to you this coming autumn and winter. What will happen this coming season with Snoworks?  More or less how it worked all this summer.  To help you we’ve put together our 10 point Snoworks guide to the 2021 season.

1. YOUR SNOWORKS SKI COURSE, BOOK WITH PEACE OF MIND
100% GUARANTEED REFUNDS FOR ANY CANCELLATION DUE TO COVID
As always we want you to have peace of mind when booking a Snoworks ski course.  Last March the season ended abruptly with resorts closed for the remaining part of March and the whole of April.  Everyone was taken by surprise. Thousands of skiers were left paying for a service having not received it.  Many people found that they were not covered by their insurance, although some were.  Snoworks guests who were not covered by their insurance company were immediately offered a 100% refund of all course fees paid, or if they preferred, we transferred their ski course to a future date.  For this coming season if you need to cancel your ski course for any reason due to Covid 19, and you find you are not covered by your insurance company, we will offer a full 100% refund of your course fee paid or transfer your course to a future date, whichever you prefer.  We want you to be able to book a ski course with complete peace of mind.

2. PAY BALANCE CLOSER TO THE COURSE DATE
10 WEEKS REDUCED TO ONLY 4 WEEKS
We want you to have more flexibility with booking and paying for your ski course so for this season we’ve reduced ‘final balance payments’ from 10 to just 4 weeks prior to your ski course.  You can book a course with just a £50 deposit.  This means you can change your plans up to 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the course and at any point if you decide to change your plans, you’ll only be liable for the £50 deposit and if you have to change your plans due to Covid we’ll refund this or transfer it to a future course.

3. ACCOMMODATION & TRAVEL
MORE CHOICE, MORE FLEXIBILITY
We want you to have as much choice as possible over your accommodation and travel options for this coming autumn and winter so for most of our courses you can organise entirely your own accommodation and travel.  Your choice, more choice.  Chalets, hotels, self catering, self drive, fly and drive or complete packages.  We recommend you contact the service providers directly to see what guarantees they can offer you over your monies paid in advance.  All service providers are looking at this very carefully as they will undoubtedly love to have your business this coming season and will have decided on their policy for this coming winter concerning cancellations due to Covid 19.  Book whatever and with whoever you feel happy with.  On certain dates we have partnered with accommodation providers and these will be shown on our website and we can direct you towards their terms and conditions.  All service providers will be following government guidelines. Bear in mind accommodation providers may not have as much flexibility as ourselves because they have more fixed overheads.

On certain courses we may have taken an allocation with a hotel or chalet.  If you are interested in these courses they will be shown on our website and we can let you know what the Covid policy is for each service provider before you book your ski course with us.

4. MORE RESORTS, MORE COUNTRIES, MORE CHOICE
Government guidelines and regulations are changing all the time so we’ve created a plan that incorporates many different countries, France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Iceland, Norway and next summer Chile and Argentina.  Most of our courses are based in France however we have many courses in other countries so you can keep on eye on government directives and book accordingly.  Remember you won’t have to pay your balance until 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the course so you can book and pay a deposit for a course and change it or cancel right up to the last minute for any reason due to Covid as long was we have space available on other courses.

5. THIS AUTUMN – 2 DESTINATIONS
, 2 COUNTRIES
To kick off this season this autumn we will running courses in two destinations. Tignes in France and Cervinia in Italy giving you more choice and more flexibility. Thus you can look at government guidelines and choose accordingly.  We’ll even help you change destinations if you decide nearer the time of your course.  Subject to availability.

6. ON THE SLOPES, IN THE RESORT
We’ve been skiing throughout the summer and hence can give first hand knowledge of what it has been like.  We’ve run courses this summer in Italy, France, Austria and Holland. The resorts are operating within their government guidelines.   Ski lifts come under the bracket of public transport so they are following similar guidelines to this.  In our experience this summer the resorts reduced capacity on enclosed lifts such as telecabines, cable cars and funivals.  In lift queues everyone acted responsibly.  Chairlifts were often loaded with spaces.  In bars and restaurants people were asked to follow government guidelines but all were open to the public and everything was running well.  Most importantly people were having a great time.  We see no difference this coming autumn/winter regarding how the resorts operated in the summer but if any changes are introduced we’ll update our guidelines quicker than you can say Jack Robinson.

7. 1-2-1 PRIVATE COACHING
On many weeks we will have the facility to book your own 1-2-1 Snoworks coach.  One to Ones can be booked for 1 to 4 people.  Half days Monday to Friday alternating between mornings and afternoons.  Other options may be available, full days and over weekends.  One to Ones put you firmly in charge of your own development.  Contact our office with your dates.

8. YOUR OWN TAILOR MADE SKI COURSES
You may be interested in organising your own Snoworks course in a resort of your choice on a date of your choice.  You may also have your own group. You may be able to book your own Snoworks coach availability pending.  Contact our office with your requirements.

9. FLEXIBLE PROGRAMME
In order to offer you the best service possible we may make changes and additions to the programme as the season progresses with the goal of offering you the best service possible in line with any government guidelines as they change.

10. SCOTTISH BASED SKI COURSES
This season we will be launching our exciting Scottish based ski courses. These courses are still in the process of being developed but needless to say our whole team is really excited about them.  We will be organising All-Terrain and Backcountry Access courses.  The Scottish highlands offers exceptional backcountry skiing and has hardly been tapped by most UK skiers but there is now a large group of dedicated backcountry skiers and the skiing is awesome.
