TIGNES – THE UPLIFT AND SLOPES
The Tignes glacier is open for skiing from the 17th October all the way through to early December when the whole Espace Killy opens up. Uplift to the glacier is via the Funiculair Perce Neige. Once up you have the Telepherique Grande Motte that opens up the whole glacier. Depending on snow conditions Tignes also has the Vanoise Chairlift and Termignon Drag Lifts (3,500), Rossolin and Champagny that could be operational depending on snow conditions. Unlike many glaciers that are relatively flat, Tignes offers a variety of terrain, more gentle slopes down lower with the steeper slopes up top. Everything you need for a great week’s ski training.
OFF-SNOW
As an autumn resort, Tignes is unbeatable for off snow activities. Around the lake for fitness training. The Lagon has a beautiful swimming pool and wellness and Tignes Espace has so much choice from climbing, squash, weights and fitness along with sports hall including badminton and volleyball.
