Our first resort is Karakol, located in the Tien Shen mountains at 3040m this is the highest ski resort in central Asia. It has a small amount of pistes surrounded by pine forests, and endless off piste descents with views of the stunning Issyk-Kul lake. A great base for our first few days skiing at altitude.
We will then transfer to Jergalan, situated in the Issyk-Kul region in the east of the country where we will be spending most of our time. The Jergalan valley is one of the best for fantastic snow conditions due to the surrounding mountain range offering stable weather conditions with very little wind. This area offers a huge choice of descents with different exposures, lengths of descent and altitude ranging from 2500m – 3400m.
