FAQ's

What’s the difference between All Terrain and Off Piste courses?

All Terrain is designed for you to learn the skills and drills to ski the whole mountain. On piste, off piste, bumps, variable conditions such as ice, fresh snow and even in poor visibility. These areas are so often the conditions that can hinder your improvement.  We will help you work on your control and confidence in a safe and fun way.

These courses are the perfect entry into the Snoworks open philosophy and your stepping stone to off piste and the adventure course program.

Off Piste courses are designed to safely take you away from the groomed pistes. All our Off Piste courses are designed to develop your skills for coping with the exciting and challenging conditions that off piste skiing offers. Fresh snow, deep powder, steeper terrain. Ideal for those of you who wish to join our Backcountry, Adventure, and Ski Touring courses.

I can’t come out for the full week, can I still join a course?

Yes. We can offer you shorter durations from Monday to Friday and the cost will be pro rata. However, we strongly recommend joining at the beginning of the week.

I’m an intermediate skier - Your courses look too advanced for me?

Absolutely not.  If you’re an intermediate skier you’re in the right place! Snoworks ski courses are the perfect stepping stone to developing your skills to help you cope with new terrain, conditions and more.

Dave , our guide , gave very good safety and technical tips. His dry sense of humour put the group at ease and he led us into widely varying terrain in the Val d’Isère / Tignes domain. The abilities within the group were well matched. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip and hope to be back next year

This course was excellent and I’d thoroughly recommend it for anyone who finds the idea of off-piste skiing daunting. Euan was brilliant: very knowledgable, informative and approachable, and great at providing personalised feedback and adapting his teaching style to the individual needs of the group members. We learned plenty of new techniques which have changed the way we ski on piste as well as off, and the course set us up perfectly for our second week of skiing this year when there was so much snow that even the pistes were knee-deep in powder. I’ve already recommended this course to other people and would repeat it myself as there was so much content that I’m sure I’d learn more again.

I had a great week on the all terrain course and feel that my skiing progressed massively. This was my first experience of skiing off-piste and really enjoyed being able to explore the wider terrain available in the ski area and the sense of adventure which came with that. Jen (our instructor and guide for the week) was really enthusiastic and motivational and provided lots of tips to help me rapidly progress my skiing. I would highly recommend the all terrain course and look forward to booking my next course with Snoworks.

Another great course. Euan and Ally were brilliant coaching and guiding and our skiing has improved immensely. Most importantly they make skiing fun! We all left with smiles on our faces looking froward to next year.

As a skier with many years of experience including some off-piste skiing, I was looking to take my skills to the next level. A highly experienced skiing friend recommended the Snoworks All Terrain course, and it exceeded all expectations. The group size was excellent – even smaller than the advertised maximum of 8, which allowed for plenty of individual attention. Our instructors, Euan and Jenny, were outstanding. They combined deep knowledge with supportive teaching styles and great personalities, creating an environment where I felt completely safe to push my boundaries. Despite having skied the Tignes/Val d’Isere area many times before, they introduced us to areas I’d never discovered. This really demonstrated their intimate knowledge of the terrain. Their instruction improved my skills across multiple dimensions – from technique to confidence – and truly delivered on the ‘go anywhere, ski anything’ promise. The course represents excellent value for money. What sets it apart is not just the technical instruction, but the comprehensive way it builds both skills and confidence across different types of snow and terrain. Even as an experienced skier, I found plenty of room for improvement and development. I’m already planning my return visit – which is perhaps the strongest recommendation I can give! If you’re looking to take your skiing to the next level in a supportive, professional environment, this course is absolutely worth it.”
