The amazing Snoworks Spring Ski Skills Extravaganza has been running for the past 15 years. April and May are renowned for late season snow and Hintertux never disappoints. The skiing is awesome, the coaching ground breaking, the hotel extremely pleasant and the apres ski! Need we say more?
The village of Hintertux is a small, charming Austrian ski resort with a handful of hotels, bars and restaurants. Most of the guests stay in the Hotel Rindererhof, perfectly positioned 4-star hotel with direct access to the glacier offering very comfortable accommodation. If the Rindererhof is full there are other great hotels nearby. The Hotels Neuhintertux and Vierjahreszeiten, both top quality hotels are opposite and the nearby Gletscherhotel Hintertuxerhof 150 metres away, so plenty of options.
Although Hintertux is a small village what it offers is immense. Amazing skiing and apres ski to rival the big Austrian resorts. The skiing is accessed via two gondolas that take you to the Tuxer Fernerhaus and the base of the glacier at 2,660metres. From here the whole glacier opens up offering more skiing possibilities than any other glacier in the world. It is probably the biggest skiable glacier in the world. If Calsberg did glacier skiing this is what it would be like!
THE COURSE
The Hintertux Spring Ski Skills Extravaganza is probably the most advanced technical development courses of its kind. This Ski Skills course also comes with an added extra. Predominantly lots and lots of snow. So it’s a Ski Skills course with an All-Terrain twist. Coaching is all day for 5 days.
For those looking for technical development this is definitely the course for you. All day coaching Monday to Friday, skills and drills, application into the environment and video analysis. This all adds up to one hell of a course.
Levels 4 to 6 are catered for so adventurous adventurous intermediates to experts. For level 4 adventurous intermediates this is your stepping stone into more all-mountain skiing and for levels 5 and 6 the options are endless as Hintertux has always provided exceptional skiing conditions at this time of year.
