Course Details

Our Backcountry courses are the most popular on the programme.  Full days of off piste skiing combined with the local knowledge and passion of our team of hand picked and trained instructors.  These courses will offer you the opportunity to explore, learn and take your skiing and skiing experiences to the next level.

Our Les Arcs course is a balance of guiding and instruction from our team that live there.  They know La Plagne and Les Arcs better than anyone, this has been their stomping ground for over a decade. You’re in safe hands and you can look forward to a fantastic week of the very best this huge area has to offer. If you think you already know the Paradiski area we will show you so much more!

Minimum requirements for this course:
• Skiers who are competent to ski off piste Backcountry for full days, Level 5 and above. See levels
• Skiers who have a good level of fitness to ski all day off piste in all conditions, with a break for lunch
• Ability to get up unaided after a fall is essential

Unsure of your ski level? If you feel you may be below level 5 then we advise booking a half day Off Piste course first. Check your ski level here.

FAQ's

What's the difference between the Off Piste and Backcountry courses?

Both courses feature off piste skiing. Off Piste courses are half days with Snoworks instructors and Backcountry Courses are full days either with Snoworks instructors, or sometimes a combination of Snoworks instructors and local ski guides.. Some Backcountry courses use ski touring equipment to access routes.

Will I be skiing with people of a similar skiing standard?

Yes, this is our aim. Our instructors arrange groups of skiers that will complement each other to progress and improve.  We may have different groups running alongside one another, or mixed level groups depending on numbers.
