Our fantastic Canadian Adventure features two superb resorts
Red Mountain
Red is the oldest resort in Western Canada, it’s unpretentious and has a massive ski area – 3850 skiable acres of terrain. It has 5 skiable peaks up to 2075 metres, and many have 360 degree descents so we can pick multiple descents from the same peak, all lift accessed. Tree-lined routes, stunning mountain peaks and pristine powder is what we will be skiing in Red Mountain. Cat skiing is available in this resort as an additional extra.
For more information see their website.
Whitewater
Whitewater is all about pure backcountry skiing. With an annual snowfall of 12 metres it has extensive lift accessed routes of amazing off piste skiing; steeps and deeps, chutes and bowls with some fabulous tree lined trails on offer as well, there is an abundance of choice for powder hounds. It is virtually undiscovered by the majority of skiers and retains the local simple charm so no large crowds. It also has a repuation for superb dining options and friendly locals. Cat skiing and heli skiing available in this resort as an additional extra.

Absolutely – 80% of Snoworks guests travel by themselves. This is the great thing about a Snoworks course. You can come by yourself knowing there will be many like-minded individuals. In fact, many Snoworks clients who first came skiing by themselves have now met many other skiers that they are now friends with, it’s a great way to meet and ski with others and make new friends too!
Yes, we offer limited accommodation options and unless we can find someone to share a room there will be a supplement to pay. If you do want a room to yourself you will need to book early to secure this and we can offer this as part of your holiday.
Lee did a great job organising, guiding and hosting the trip. The Hotels were very comfortable large rooms with microwave and fridge handy for making breakfast. Transport to and from the resorts was limited compared to European standards. The resorts are both small with very slow old lifts, but offer fantastic tree skiing inside and outside the ropes, and snow was very light, a delight to ski. Due to the size of the resorts the inbounds area tracked out quickly, but with a short hike up skin fresh tracks could be found easily, but the turns have to be earned.. It was a very enjoyable trip, good company and some great skiing once the fresh snow fell. I think for next year a full ten days can be easily accommodated, by travelling to the next resort after skiing as the transfer is short between resorts. It’s worth making it clear that hiking and skinning is likely to be required and good fitness. Also make it very clear that if a twin share is not available single supplement will apply. A further suggestion for all Snoworks courses could be to give a top 3 areas for ski improvement for each client at the end of the trip. Many thanks Neil
I’ve always really enjoyed a Snoworks adventure and this was no different, Red Mountain is a fabulous resort for off piste and Backcountry skiing. It hadn’t snowed for a few weeks but there was still plenty of skiing accessible by skinning available. The last day we had heavy snow and had an absolutely fantastic day in the trees. Lee as always is a superb host on these trips. Unfortunately we had to come home before the group traveled to Whitewater and I think this was even better.
