FAQ's

What's the difference between the Freeride and Backcountry courses?

On snow the Freeride courses are designed for those that can ski at a faster speed for a longer duration, with a high level of stamina and psychological confidence. Pitched at an age range of 18 – 50 (but please contact the office, as we are fully aware this age limit should not be non-negotiable based on your fitness)

Our Freeride courses has been specifically structured to include content such as; route planning, route recon prior to skiing more serious off piste or steeper terrain, the use of FatMaps and other ski apps to educate and understand the planning and reasoning to ski, or not ski certain terrain.

The planned content of the Freeride course is what differentiates it from our Backcountry courses, please see the ‘Whats included’ section of these courses for more details.

Will I be skiing with people of a similar skiing standard?

Yes, this is our aim. Our instructors arrange groups of skiers that will complement each other to progress and improve.
