Ski Skills – Hintertux

  • 28 April - 2 May 2025
  • Hintertux, Austria
  • Ski Levels 4 - 6
  • Max Group Size: 8
  • 5 x Full Days
Course Details

The most unique course on our entire programme and a firm favourite with our skiers and staff!  Our Hintertux Ski Skills course works on focused instruction to take your skiing to the next level.  Most Snoworks courses are off piste and all mountain, this is piste skiing.   Allowing you to really focus and refine the techniques for moguls, carving and all mountain skiing.  Drills are abundant, mix up the ski levels, throw in some specific ‘ski clinic’ days, and some great social activities in the evenings; it’s a really fun week for all ski levels.  We stay in the fantastic 4* hotel Rindererhof, right opposite the main gondola station.  It’s a great value week that often delivers the bonus of blue sky powder days.

Minimum requirements for this course:

  • You are confident on groomed red and easy black pistes, with no off piste experience. (level 4)
  • Aspirations to refine and improve your moguls, carving and all mountain skiing skills
  • Ability to get up unaided in the event of a fall

Resort Information

Hintertux is Austria’s only year round ski resort.  Boasting one of Europe’s largest skiable glaciers, open 365 days of the year, we’re often still skiing powder here in May! There’s plenty of lifts and runs across a whole variety of terrain up to 3250m.

There are some lively local bars, including the fabulous Hohenhaus opposite the main gondola. Also not to be missed is the amazing ‘Nature Ice Palace’ tour, an incredible glacial crevasse beneath the slopes.

Don’t put those skis away too early – you’re in for a real treat.

Accommodation options:

The Rindererhof is the perfect luxury 4* hotel at the foot of the glacier, opposite the main gondola station. There is a luxury spa to relax in at the end of your day’s skiing with three different saunas, aroma steam bath and fresh water whirlpool.  The hotel rooms are of a high standard and have fabulous views of the surrounding mountains or valley. Combine this with the hotel chef and his team creating culinary delights for you every day,  a fabulous buffet breakfast, the best wines from Austria and all over the world, and you are in for a fantastic week. Single rooms are available at a supplement – these are limited so make sure you book early.

FAQ's

I’m thinking of coming skiing by myself. Is a Snoworks course suitable for solo skiers?

Absolutely – 80% of Snoworks guests travel by themselves. This is the great thing about a Snoworks course. You can come by yourself knowing there will be many other skiers that you can ski with who are also travelling by themselves.

In fact many Snoworks clients who first came skiing by themselves have now met many other skiers that they are now friends with, it’s a great way to meet and ski with other like minded skiers.

I’m a solo skier, do I have to pay a single room supplement?

Yes – we have many room options this week.  If you do want a room to yourself you will need to book early to secure this.

Will I be skiing with people of a similar skiing standard?

Yes, this is our aim. Our instructors arrange groups of skiers that will complement each other to progress and improve.  For this week we will often mix up the levels on some days – it’s a great opportunity to ski with others outside of your normal ski group.

Travel arrangements worked flawlessly. The hotel is first class, including the food and wine. The ski instruction/coaching was second to none. I would highly recommend this course to sharpen and improve your ski techniques, I will be back.
